Cartoons can be empowering for both kids and adults.Cartoons can do what live-action shows can’t. Cartoons represent Art and impart a sense of Empowerment, there are always some sort of lessons in cartoons when you cone to think of it.
According to Dr. Laurel Steinberg, a New York–based psychotherapist,
“Cartoons model higher frustration tolerance and activate a person's problem solving abilities," said Steinberg. She believes that building up these basic problem-solving skills can, in the long run, improve life circumstances and "further reduce anxiety and depression."
”Kids' cartoons can be a support treatment because they incorporate themes like community order, friendship, family, teamwork, that good always wins over evil, and that the sun will always come out tomorrow,"
“They can help restore optimism and give someone a break from worrying or feeling sad, all of which can elevate [your] mood."Mar 23, 2017
How do cartoons help people?
“By re-watching an old cartoon, it can bring up feelings associated with happiness and comfort, reminding us of the capability to move past worries. For some, escapism is the best form of dealing with anxiety, and cartoons can provide a safe method for this coping mechanism”.
